The Thorngate Dance Club

The object of the Thorngate Dance Club is to promote, stimulate and foster Dance,  Dinner Dances and similar functions for the members of the Gosport Community Association and local inhabitants. For example, we organize the monthly “Come Dancing sessions and “Country and Western Dances.”
We are affiliated to the Gosport Community Association and all Honorary and Individual Membership of the Association are automatically members of the Dance Club. There is no further membership fee payable. So if you are not a member of the Association, why not join now and enjoy this benefit too. Posters with details of our Functions are displayed on notice boards in the Association building and also in various outlets around the Town. In addition, they are publicized in the local Press and Radio. We offer a pleasant evening out for all those enjoying Ballroom and Sequence Dancing or those who prefer County and Western music with Dancing. Admission for Come Dancing  sessions is £3.00 and for  Country and Western Dances £3.50 Children at both Events £1.50.


The Gosport & District Organ Club meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6.30pm at the Thorngate Halls.
On the second Monday we meet in the ballroom to play and listen to our magnificent Compton Cinema Organ and on the Fourth Monday we meet in the music room to play and listen to our Farfisa Electronic Organ.
